Charter School Equestrian Programs at Camulos Farm

Camulos Farm welcomes students participating in approved charter school programs. Charter school students participate in the same private riding lesson program as all Camulos Farm students, with the same individualized instruction, horsemanship education, safety standards, and opportunities to progress from beginning riding through advanced skills and competition.

The difference is simply how lessons are funded.For families enrolled with one of our approved charter school partners, eligible educational funds may be used toward riding lessons at Camulos Farm according to the policies and authorization requirements of the individual school.

Who Can Participate?

Camulos Farm welcomes charter school students ages 6 and up, from beginning riders through advanced students. Younger riders may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

All lessons are private and tailored to the individual rider’s experience, ability, and goals. Students learn much more than simply how to ride—we emphasize safety, horsemanship, communication, horse care, and developing a strong partnership with the horse.

Getting Started

All new students begin with an Assessment Lesson before entering the regular lesson program. The Assessment Lesson is approximately one hour and allows Sara to evaluate the rider’s experience, confidence, goals, and individual needs.

Assessment Lesson — $50

Charter school funding and authorization procedures vary by school. Some charter partners may authorize the Assessment Lesson, while others may require families to pay for the initial assessment privately before charter-funded lessons begin.

Families should confirm available funding and authorization requirements with their charter school. Camulos Farm is happy to provide the information needed to complete the school’s vendor or purchase-order process.

Charter School Lesson Options

Weekly Lesson Package — $350/month
Our standard charter school lesson package provides one private lesson per week within a 30-day period. This option is available across all charter school platforms.

Eligible missed lessons may be made up within 60 days in accordance with Camulos Farm’s cancellation and makeup policies.

Depending on the individual charter school’s funding policies and authorization system, additional purchasing options may include:

Single Private Lesson — $90
One private lesson to be used within 30 days of authorization.

Six-Lesson Package — $500
Six private lessons to be used within a 30-day period. This option accommodates charter schools that limit payments to an individual vendor to $500 per month.

Add-a-Lesson — $75
An additional private lesson purchased within the same 30-day period as an authorized monthly lesson package.

All lessons are private and provide the same individualized riding instruction and horsemanship education offered throughout the Camulos Farm lesson program.
