Horse Training at Camulos Farm
Every horse is an individual. At Camulos Farm, our training program begins with understanding the horse in front of us—his experience, temperament, strengths, challenges, and the goals of his owner.
Located in San Juan Capistrano, California, Camulos Farm offers individualized horse training with an emphasis on correct foundations, clear communication, confidence, and the development of a genuine partnership between horse and rider. Training experience includes Three-Day Eventing, Dressage, Western Dressage, Jumpers, Thoroughbreds, and horses that simply need thoughtful, consistent work to help them become better partners.
Start with a Training Evaluation
Every new training horse begins with an individual evaluation. This gives us an opportunity to meet the horse and owner, discuss training history, current challenges, and long-term goals, and determine whether Camulos Farm is the right fit for your training goals.
From there, we develop an individualized training plan based on the horse and owner’s goals. Training may include work with the horse, the owner, or both—because ultimately, the goal is not simply a better-trained horse, but a stronger and more successful horse-and-rider partnership.
Training Evaluation • Approximately 1 Hour • $90
What to Expect from Training
Training at Camulos Farm is individualized to the needs of each horse and owner. Depending on the horse, training may focus on developing or strengthening basic foundations, improving balance and responsiveness, building confidence, addressing gaps in previous training, developing skills for a specific discipline, or helping horse and rider communicate more effectively.
Owners are encouraged to be part of the process. A horse can learn a great deal in professional training, but lasting progress happens when the rider understands how to continue that work. When appropriate, training sessions may include instruction for the owner so that both horse and rider develop together.
Camulos Farm is a training program, not a boarding stable. Training arrangements are made individually following the Training Evaluation.
